Man Remains Barricaded In Va. Hotel
An armed man who barricaded himself in a Manassas hotel room Wednesday evening remains surrounded by authorities, Manassas City police said.
The man, who police described as about 50, locked himself into a room at the Home Style Inn at 9913 Cockrell Rd. after arguing with a female companion in the parking lot. The man is wanted on a probation violation in Chesapeake, Va., said Manassas City police Sgt. Tim Neumann.
Police said there were no hostages with the man.
The hotel has been cleared of patrons and a perimeter has been set up blocking people from getting near the hotel, Neumann said. No one is in danger, he said.
At this point, Neumann said, the plan is to wait the suspect out. Theres no sense of going in and risking someone getting injured.
